Freedom Within: Healing After Miscarriage

… beginning early October 2016

This is your personal invitation to come and attend a 5 session connect group for those who have experienced a miscarriage. We will grieve, we will memorialize, and we will heal together. This group will be facilitated by Chaz Wiebe, Registered Professional Counsellor, and is open to anyone who has experienced the loss of a pregnancy in any trimester, the loss of a pregnancy thru IVF/fertility treatment, or the loss of a child in NICU.

Individuals and spouses/partners are welcome to attend together.

For so many the loss of a pregnancy has left a lasting impact & you are invited to join us as we walk thru the healing journey together. Many times this area of loss is something we don’t talk about very much, but we need to -- in order to heal. This can also be the type of loss that is challenging to grieve as our Canadian culture is ‘so busy’ we often want to or are forced to skip over the grieving process altogether. So whether your loss was experienced recently or whether years have now passed this can be a milestone for you.

What can I expect?

We will meet biweekly (every 2 weeks) for 5 nights. There will be teaching, discussion, and weekly activity work. Each week you will be supported to take the next step toward healing as you put together the beginnings of a beautiful memory box. Our aim is to guide you thru the grief process toward a place of healing. At the conclusion of our 5 weeks a memorial service will be hosted at CityLife Church in Leduc, dates are below. You will be welcome to invite close friends and family to this service as we remember our little ones.

Monday October 3 – Night One, 7:15pm

Monday October 17 – Night Two, 7:15pm

Monday November 7 – Night Three, 7:15pm

Monday November 21 – Night Four, 7:15pm

Monday December 5 – Final Night, 7:15pm

Saturday December 10 – Memorial Service, Leduc AB

This connect group course is being offered as a part of the Community Care initiative with CityLife Church in Leduc.
